Hello, I am Sophie, a newborn and baby photographer located in Winkfield, Berkshire, and the face behind Minimems Photography.

Before becoming a parent, I spent over 10 years working in a nursery where I became a Deputy Manager. Caring for babies and young children has always been at the heart of what I do, and that experience naturally shaped the calm, patient approach I bring to every session. I started Minimems to help families capture the tiny moments that pass too quickly. I have always loved photographing those tiny details - the curled-up fingers, the soft lashes, the way newborns instinctively settle when they feel safe.

I understand now, in a way I never could before, just how quickly these early days pass. The overwhelming love, the tiny changes that seem to happen overnight. It’s a blur and yet it’s everything. My work has taken on a whole new meaning since welcoming my son, Hugo, into the world, I now understand just how precious and fleeting they truly are.

Alongside my hands-on experience, I’ve also professionally trained in newborn photography, with a strong focus on safety, learning everything from safe posing and positioning to gentle transitioning and swaddling techniques. Your baby’s comfort and wellbeing will always come first.

My studio creates a calm, welcoming space where you can relax, take a breath, and know your little one is in safe, experienced hands. These images aren’t just for now. They are for the years ahead, when your baby is no longer so small and you find yourself missing these fleeting moments.
